@wak Here's a British site with lots of advice and reviews https://road.cc/ebiketips/buying-adviceMost ebikes are available from various reputable retailers. You are right to avoid Amazon (and eBay) because there's lots of news reports about fires from third party batteries and chargers (admittedly these are nearly all illegal conversions, but I'd still be wary).Virtual all modern ebikes will have a range of greater than 20km.There are two EU specifications for ebikes - I don't know the situation in Poland, but the only legal ones in the UK are the ones that give pedal assistance up to 25kph and with a motor under 250 watts. Speed-Pedelecs, with higher speeds and a throttle, are not legal here.My ebike experience says that maintenance has been minimal - certainly no more than a normal bike. Also, consider what you might want to carry - sometimes adding racks to these bikes is a challenge.Good luck!
