current thoughts after experimenting with some proposed discord alternatives recently:matrix: despite the honourable efforts of instance maintainers, i actually think that client apps are the achilles heel of matrix.@ari agree completely with the Matrix comment. i was trying to write a blog post on switching to matrix from discord and could not find a single client that would be a smooth experience just to create an account and a set of rooms. some came close, but nothing was good enough, unless you're technical and can deal with issues.
