CIRCLE WITH A DOT

One of the things I think about to drive myself crazy: These days, the VSP class-- the pundits & consultants etc. --are telling us that climate change is a preoccupation of elites, that climate policy is ill-suited to current circumstances, that voters don't care ... & thus that we should drop it.

@volts.wtf they are very good. The audio book versions are excellent as well.

It seems like there's a whole vast subculture of men who are devoted to making themselves attractive to the opposite sex...but in a way that is, in actual fact, mostly aimed at other men. Does that makes sense? Like the question of whether women actually want or like this stuff is almost irrelevant.

The job of "influencer" has always struck me as the very deepest circle of hell. It's basically a *recipe* for burnout & mental illness. It's just so dystopian that young people see it as one of the few viable remaining careers.Content creators are strugglin...

@volts.wtf If you haven’t tried its source, Letterkenny, I’d highly recommend that as well. It’s more episodic, but still has a deeply humane core (and is *far* more progressive than one might expect for a show set in rural Ontario). And the dialogue is a delight, both extremely witty and incredibly crude at the same time.
