I try really hard not to shop at Amazon, & usually do not. I want something I cannot find anywhere else. Anyone know where (shopping locally in N.S., & yes I am willing to pay more, but not hundreds of times more!) I can find a plastic snap fastener kit like this: www.amazon.ca/dp/B08P5RT173 or somewhere else I can order online?
Both fabric stores & home hardware said-- Amazon!
I can find a fastener tool for $25, (although not in stock have to order online at Michael's or Fabricville) and individual colours of ten snaps for $5.99 -- too big a difference!

Not to build EVs as originally planned, but $464M to a "for profit company", to build gas powered, extra large, pick up trucks! Not to build EVs as originally planned, but $464M to a "for profit company", to build gas powered, extra large, pick up trucks! What is wrong with these people? Why does FORD need incentive if there is profit in it? I don't understand crony capitalism well. Clearly very short term thinking for a country!!!

“That said, this investigation has shone a light on one of the biggest challenges to privacy protection in history. Technology has been moving so quickly, in particular in regard to AI, that personal information is being collected in ways that were not even contemplated when our privacy laws were written.”

The four watchdogs launched an investigation into OpenAI’s privacy practices in 2023, following a complaint — which was not disclosed — that alleged that the company collected and used personal information without consent."

To reduce expense by 400 M but how much will be spent increasingly badly supporting people in no job or a bad job, when we could be improving and making the post office viable like other countries do with postal banking and other services.RE: https://mstdn.social/@keyofG/116426136600634564
To reduce expense by 400 M but how much will be spent increasingly badly supporting people in no job or a bad job, when we could be improving and making the post office viable like other countries do with postal banking and other services. Canada hates anything "public" and are slowly eliminating all services that are not "profit making" as if the market someone how gives legitimacy. Sigh. Profit is the problem (well capitalism) I am loving Avi Lewis thoughts on what to do!

Mercredi, who is mentioned in the files, said he wants to know when they began surveilling him and called the operation an act of intimidation.RE: https://cosocial.ca/@dyckron/116421993198322670
Mercredi, who is mentioned in the files, said he wants to know when they began surveilling him and called the operation an act of intimidation.
He said the leaders who were watched by the RCMP were only advocating for their peoples’ rights and to improve the economic conditions of their communities.
...Mercredi said he worries that opposition will spur another state surveillance operation.
“That is the fear I have — that history repeats itself,” he said.
