half of xAI's original 12 person founding team has now left, with five departures in just the last year alone@wohali @Taweret it's hilarious, though iirc there's still a rocket engine, the spln is just giving the rocket (and heavy fuel) as much boost as possible before ignition.
That doesn't make it any more likely to work, or help the rocket and payload survive the transition of forces at release.
It also doesn't make it any less funny.
