–wireshark sniffering of wifi traffic
–adb logcat

easy to find, impossible to solve

@fiore wpa supplicant does not like the wifi pairwise cipher

@fiore particularly upsetting is my problem is probably not even a "bug" by android standards and fixing it is impossible even though it's all looking very much like linux
i hate it

so upset rn i am getting rid of android as soon as i see a good opportunity
if calls work fine on pmos that is
