I'm also looking into those board with PCIe switches on them, got one ordered and the second one, vendor cancelled order so gotta find another one
@G33KatWork I would try just the short of CPRST# first. Seems the most probable culprit.
@azonenberg But if you're off-axis, won't depth of field be an issue ?
I don't have a USB one, I'm using a HDMI one as my "daily driver" (lower latency) and although I'm happy with it and it has a good working distance (especially with 0.35x barlow lens added), it's also fairly shallow DoF.
@swetland I do. But I must admit my motivation to polish such software and publish it for other to use (either directly or as example) is eroding quickly when it's just going to be stolen or "rewritten with AI" to circumvent the license ...
@azonenberg I installed Win11 on a real machine a few month ago and it took me an entire day ... laptop listed as fully compatible. Got a real license too and still it would lock up during install and even overwrite its install media by putting stuff on the EFI partition of the USB installer stick ...
And then the result is also ... unusable. So much crap / ad / widgets / copilot everywhere ... how does anyone even _use_ this ... I miss win2000 ... (last windows I used regularely)
