Whenever the government proposes to spend money on energy schemes, I convert the cost into home solar. $2.5 billion = 100,000 homes with $25k solar + battery installations. This reduces demand from power stations, increases generation during the day, and makes for a better distributed power system.Plus 100,000 homes get significantly cheaper power, improving the quality of life for those who live in them.I know home solar isn't the only option for renewable power but it's an easy one to conceptualise.
