@selea Not entirely out of my way when I go to Lysekil, but not really feasible to have the 3D printer and my scuba gear in the car simultaneously. Sorry!

Our makerspace needs new 3D-printers.@selea Near Malmö? I might be thinking about selling my MK4S, with enclosure, and I could drop it off (I’m based in Copenhagen).

Our makerspace needs new 3D-printers.@selea 600 USD is closer to 500 EUR in pure value, and with taxes and tariffs that can shift the balance even further. Where are you based, generally speaking?

Yesterday I replied to a toot someone posted.@quixoticgeek The women-only tournaments are well justified. It’s quite common for players to go watch other boards during the tournament. It can help give you ideas, and gives you a break from your own game.
The problem is when a board is swarmed because one of the players is attractive in some way, instead of because of the game on the board.
Having female arbiters, female players, and female staff creates a safe environment.

Yesterday I replied to a toot someone posted.@quixoticgeek I’ve been beaten by kids less than a quarter my age, and by people nearly three times it. I’ve been beaten by opponents of all genders, not that it mattered in the slightest.
When I lose, I don’t blame my opponent; I am the sole orchestrator of my defeats.
I’ve never seen a men-only tournament. I’ve seen many women-only. Also plenty of rating brackets, to give players a chance to not get eliminated instantly.

The “red so239 ground spike telecopic whip antenna” kit from AliExpress has arrived - an article on the parts is at https://brokensignal.tv/pages/20-meter-vertical-whip-antenna-under-25.html - lunchtime shenanigans, methinks. -
Why do we all accept that shower screens should be glass?@jdking92 @anon_opin It depends. You’re right that a lot of shower glass isn’t entirely transparent, but I’ve never seen one-way glass/mirrors used in showers. However, there can be an effect of proximity—a person inside the shower is typically quite close to the glass, and a person outside would be a few meters further, therefore getting a different “effect” through the glass.
It’s usually more of a lensing effect that creates the vision obstruction rather than a film.
