sure, my manager has a spreadsheet of how much i've drunk and how many lines of code i have written, but i don't feel any pressure to get buzzed

is it just me, or does the a. i. companies’ recent focus on automating exploit finding read as an “engage with us Or Else” ploy against the projects that wouldn’t take generated code contributions but can’t ignore security issuesto be clear, if you believe openbsd has a lower defect rather than any other of the bsds, you're absolutely being taken for a ride

Democratising software development inherently means that people are going to develop software in ways you don't like and which seem objectively wrong and welp that's also the argument people made against Linux so, it;s impossible to say if its bad or not@mjg59 as i understand it, "endless hacktober" is more apt
endless september was about new people not learning the rules
endless hacktover is about people doing extractive work
