Sm2n 2026-02-06 #audio365 - 37/365 - I’d love to hear from Paul, Bernie and Stefano on Clay’s query@omaniblog @topgold @StefanoL @soulcruzer —>https://open.spotify.com/episode/7IyqVlLmK3FgZd7u4Cnhb1@soulcruzer @sm2n @omaniblog @topgold I'm wondering if part of the reason social audio never took off more than it did is also because using your voice is a much more 'intimate' form of contact, it gives away part of who you are, your essence through your voice, your intonation, your emotions are given an audio canvas. (In fact, in my own experience, I've occasionally sent voice messages to some of my friends with whom I only text and some were actually taken aback that I would send them something so... intimate. )
Whereas in text-based social networking people can simply hide behind words and be more 'anonymous' I don't mean to be insidious with this, it's just that nowadays people seem more apt to judge, flame or otherwise act/react badly in social network circles, uhm... Mastodon being an exception of course as it's proven to be quite a haven for me and is almost like a calm welcoming lagoon.
I'm enjoying reconnecting with many of you through this social Shangri-la
