@Geri “My Government aim to continue aimlessly until at least a week Thursday before ‘Change’
“Bless.”
@benjamincox @Geri Just seen a picture and whilst it is a lovely shade there is something very “Hair by Lego” about the shape.
@simon_brooke @ChrisMayLA6 As someone based in the SW I’d be interested to see how much IHT contribution comes from second homes and people who have moved to the SW in the last 5-10 years.
@TheBreadmonkey Be nice and try to do better, always.
That’s a moral framework proposal rather than being snarky to Ben.
@Jorsh @TwoClownsEating As far as we aware.
#totp anyone got a spare shirt for the lead singer? He feels like Fred Astaire but he looks a bit of a knob

@Steve @georgetakei My dad’s bigger than your dad
Yah boo sucks
@christineburns @ChrisMayLA6 I can’t answer that without speculating but I will ask my eldest when he’s back this evening. I know there is quite a lot of confusion of which issues should be aimed where; national or local, which has been compounded over the last few decades by repeated funding cuts from central Government and general ignorance around statutory duties, etc.
@christineburns @ChrisMayLA6 Pondering on this I think it shows how it’s easy to see why national politicians bend to suit a perceived majority when in fact they are dealing with a vocal minority.
People motivated to engage local politicians are probably more politically engaged, and here it’s a small town with a significant elderly population. Targeting policies/statements on just those people could well further alienate or turn off others.
@christineburns @ChrisMayLA6 My eldest works in a political office locally and whilst there are no local elections here today the biggest issues flagged by constituents include local issues such as anti-social behaviour, the state of the town centre and…drumroll…potholes. That’s not to say that national issues/talking points don’t come up as well.
@neil From 2028 all new barns will have a unique Q-Code tattooed on their neck and will scan it on whatever device they are using to verify their age and social status rating before being allowed access. From 2029 the ‘feature’ will be made available for the rest of us and from 2032, no Q-Code, no access.
For the avoidance of doubt, </s>
@theplaguedoc Bit shaken, but nothing worth worrying andhxxgtudneb…
@andrewducker Wow! That’s someone at the end of their tether. Hope that gains some traction*
* spoiler - of course it won’t
@bigvimto @ambientspace @Nickiquote I had one a month or so ago. Air-fried frozen chips so most definitely a bit rubbish. I may try for a Totnes baked artisan sourdough with home made sweet potato fries in the summer to claim some middle class credentials and wax lyrically about how the original was less appreciated but tasted better because in those days we couldn’t appreciate quality home cooked food, probably as a result of it being the early eighties and everyone was skint.
@Nickiquote buy a small round loaf (price not remembered), and get the baker to cut it in half, split it with a mate and buy a cone of chips (10p) pull the inner bread out and eat, fill remaining crust with chips and scoff the lot. Often accompanied by a frozen ‘jublie’ (also 10p, I think) which is a plastic carton of e-numbers and water purporting to be a child’s drink (think capri-sun with more sugar and e-numbers).
