@mosen yeh, the food down here is unsurpassed. I hate the weather in winter, but I wouldn't move for anything, just because of how good the food is around here

A great video with Justice Michael Kirby, starts off strong, talking about his homosexuality, and his efforts to change the law.A great video with Justice Michael Kirby, starts off strong, talking about his homosexuality, and his efforts to change the law. Even references the use of the law against trans people right now, and he said the most wonderful thing about people not having contact with trans people.

This is why the Royal Commission, its findings, and any response will be ignored by the vast majority of society. This is why the Royal Commission, its findings, and any response will be ignored by the vast majority of society.
When Zionists get to define antisemitism, people stop caring about antisemitism.
When Zionist commissioners, like Virginia Bell, make decisions like this, it just feeds into the trope of Judaism being a secret society, that nobody is allowed access to; it feeds antisemitic tropes.
The worst thing, it kills the "social cohesion" that Albanese and every Zionist seems to be going on about.
By excluding Palestinians, any legislated responses to this Royal Commission will be challenged, and said challenges will succeed, in court:
Palestinian peak body refused leave to appear at royal commission on antisemitism and social cohesion

Australia Palestine Advocacy Network says criticism of Israel is routinely misrepresented as antisemitic – and that Palestinian voices are being excluded from debate

The Luddite revival is quite concerning to me.The Luddite revival is quite concerning to me.
This rewriting of history, by supposed lefties, is just fucking insane.
Luddites were not good people, not in any way. They hated the fact that lower-paid workers - people from the countryside - were moving to cities, and taking their jobs. They're fucking Reformers, One Nation, Republicans, AfD, whatever in the country you live.
Yeh, employers were shit, but they didn't want better working conditions. Nope, just to destroy the machines so poor people couldn't make cheaper fabric than them.
When you revive Luddites as some sort of heroic movement, you revive the same right wing populist shit we're dealing with right now

In this household, we care about inflation. -
I was going to post a "Chronic pain scale", but all of them are just comparisons between the normal pain scale, and chronic pain.I was going to post a "Chronic pain scale", but all of them are just comparisons between the normal pain scale, and chronic pain.
"Normal" for chronic pain seems to sit around a 7 on the non-chronic pain scale, which really tracks.
This isn't the best (I wouldn't put 7 at "unimaginable", but I suffer from chronic pain):

In this household, we care about inflation.@bradr it's something that I've struggled with.
I was ordering beans, they went up. Then I started buying supermarket discount beans (mainly Grinders), then they went up.
I'm now on Aldi, single origin, beans, and surprisingly, better than supermarket

Many moons ago Dough Anthony stood up in the Australian parliament to speak his mind, he started with "I'm a country member" and quick as a flash, Gough Whitlam replied "We remember".
If you don't get the joke, remember what Australia's favourite word is, and that's a good starting point

It's always weird to see Americans not get that they're a hegemonic empire. It's always weird to see Americans not get that they're a hegemonic empire.
It's like watching a British person from the 1800's talk about all the bad things their government is doing to them, while reaffirming their support for more colonies and genocide against indigenous people

In things that will totally never happen again:In things that will totally never happen again:
I was waiting by my daughter and a few friends were on the basketball court before school, and they were arguing over basket ball shots as they took a few attempts.
None went in, then one boy starts talking big, misses shot after shot, eventually an argument starts, no idea over what, and the ball rolls to me.
I took two steps, shot, nothing but net.
That was my cue to turn around and swagger off.
The court erupted in "awwwww! You got cooked son" aimed at the boy mouthing off

You know, I think the best thing for this "antisemitism" Royal Commission is for only Zionists to give evidence, keep overcooking it like this, and offer straight up, grotesque, genocide denials like has been happening. You know, I think the best thing for this "antisemitism" Royal Commission is for only Zionists to give evidence, keep overcooking it like this, and offer straight up, grotesque, genocide denials like has been happening.
It will show Australia that as much as antisemitism is on the rise, said rise is being hijacked by Zionists to spread hasbara (formerly known as propaganda).
There's a lot of talk about a rise in antisemitism in evidence, but it's being framed as because of October 7, not the genocidal response from Israel.
In fact, the latest round sought to rewrite what Zionism is; as though it's "just Jewish people wanting to live in their ancestral homelands", not nearly 150 years of colonial genocide:
Jewish musicians faced abuse over Zionist beliefs, royal commission told

Gee, why's there a massive increase in antisemitism across the world? -
You can't put the genie back in the bottle 🤡@jenniferplusplus I was thinking about this today. It's like they watched Star Trek or other sci-fi, saw the "black box" devices that relied on a central service to run, and said "I want some of that".
They want us all to have dumb devices we pay them for that use their services, that we pay even more for.
The saddest part is every single company seems to be onboard with this, despite them suffering greatly now because of it

Well, Ley has decided the boot needs sinking in.@LeeM *sigh* they had 40% of the primary vote. There was no way they weren't winning that seat.
Preferences deals had almost no role to play in PHON winning, and we'll know more once someone does an alluvial diagram.
If anything, Labor running dead in the seat helped PHON get such a high primary vote.
Honestly, your analysis of this is patently wrong
