@Haste Twitter is so full of bots. Surely a journalist would prefer actual humans interacting with their material? I’ve heard a lot of journalists say they might not get the number of likes they are accustomed to, but they receive more quality engagement on Mastodon. Unless they are only on social media to get numbers that will impress their bosses?

It’s been a weird couple days; I keep running into this talking point that “journalists won’t use Mastodon unless we incentivize engagement farming”. -
How a hydroelectric company from a small Japanese city in Gifu became "the single point of failure for the most valuable chips on earth"@tintinaujapon @WataruTenkawa_1 It’s like Fuji film making high quality supplements.

How a hydroelectric company from a small Japanese city in Gifu became "the single point of failure for the most valuable chips on earth"@WataruTenkawa_1 I did a narration for this company a couple of years ago. Its history is very interesting!

My local Indian(*) joint shut down sometime last year and they have now come back under a different name.@glen_malley My favorite Indian place did this. They closed for six months before opening around the corner, but it was apparently due to landlord issues. The landlord tore down the original building and built an おしゃれ crepe shop in its place. Then there’s a Chinese place near my house that occasionally closes for about a month and reopens with completely different staff!

I couldn't think of a better place where to take a portrait with my new, awesome @Mastodon t-shirt that reads: "I write #AltText" : the Louvre Museum, in front of the painting "The Battle of David and Goliath" by Daniele da Volterra. -
One of my big problems as a Japanese language learner is that I’m afraid of making mistakes.@FlockOfCats YES
