@futurebird I’ve attended one wedding at the NYC city hall and it was super fun. Very interesting people watching.

Walking by the courthouse this morning it was delightful to see the happy brides and grooms just married. -
If you had the resources, what book would you put in hotels, a la Gideons bibles?@michelestrider Because the Marriotts are Mormon. ( Not sure how many people not from Utah know this. ) @liferstate

I am becoming lactose intolerant and all the vegans, who have been right all along are LAUGHING at me.@futurebird Many prepackaged foods ( potato chips are a good example ) use lactose as a binder at levels that don’t require labeling but can cause issues for lactose intolerant people. Kosher labeling is your friend. Look for some form of a K and a P or the word Parve. Parve means “ neither milk or meat” and in this case the kosher labeling means there really isn’t any dairy or lactose. Avoid things with a K and a D or the word dairy.

I am becoming lactose intolerant and all the vegans, who have been right all along are LAUGHING at me.@futurebird Protip. Odds are good you will be OK with goat or sheep cheese. ( It’s a different protein from cow and most lactose intolerant people are ok with it ). And there are some good goat cheeses. For baking and such the lactose free milks are not bad.

one of these days I really must watch Babylon 5...@mwl You have to trudge through season 1. And mostly end with season 4. There are a few good episodes in 5. But seasons 2-4 are legendary for mostly good reasons
