I find it interesting that the UK and the US both took artists' names to define overly complicated contraptions. Both independently decided that the shorthand was one specific dude's name instead of any other way of naming something, but they just happened to pick different guys. Watching "High Road to China." The reviews called it "strictly mediocre, with substandard action scenes and the flattest dialogue this side of the Great Wall." I'm only a half-hour in, but that seems to me a VERY generous review. I have trouble believing it saw a theatrical release; it looks like it has the budget and recording schedule of a single episode of a TV show. Hastily written and cheaply produced. I've seen Roger Corman films with bigger budgets.
