Installed #FreeBSD on a machine I'm considering for a home router here in the USA ... for ... um ... reasons. 
I seem to be unable to form the internet search to find "enable screen power down for VGA so that the video console blanks and enters DPMS off" on the internet. Any help here?

Can you do a garage sale and lessen the amount of stuff you have so you can make it easier to move things in/out of the place? Moving out seems like a bad idea if your rent is under market and you like the neighborhood.

@gloriouscow That sounds like nonsense to me. Considering the amount of effort to move all your stuff out for carpet removal, they basically said that your lease doesn't matter to them and that you should find a new place to live.
I'd almost want to clarify that with someone higher up the food chain in their staff. That sounds like a decision made by someone who is following the rules too closely in the hopes of not getting fired.

@david_chisnall I really appreciated the two classes in the #UNM Engineering program: VLSI Synthesis (HDL import into Cadence Tools) and VLSI Design (Tanner/Siemans L-Edit + SPICE + Fab Stuff -> tapeout). It was my lowest grades in graduate school by a lot and the courses I learned the most.
Physics is hard.
As I was writing piles of LaTeX this week, I realized that its the same "reward" that people seem to get from AI Coding. Write "code", see document update with changes or fix breakages. Do this until complete. You get that hit of dopamine but you are doing the work.
I'm using local tools, so I'm not feeding someone else's bot with my writing and the itch to create get scratched with honest writing.
But oh man, the PROFANITY at LaTeX sometimes.

I don't think I have a set of 3 #Apple IIE boards anywhere, but if I do I have CPU and ROM sets for days.
