@TarkabarkaHolgy I work in IT so obviously AI is the bane of my life. My niche offline expertise would be fishing, and Tolkien trivia (that's not really an expertise)

It's weird how often technology teams seem to get hung up on broken processes. It's weird how often technology teams seem to get hung up on broken processes. Whether it's because they were poorly written in the first place, or something changed and they no longer work, there's a refusal to deviate from 'The Process' like its some sort of religious observance. The inability or unwillingness to trust engineers to take appropriate precautions to manage risk or to know how to communicate effectively with the right people feels like a real failure of leadership. If you don't trust your people enough to give them autonomy, and the only way you can ensure the right outcome is to force them down a specific route, should you even be managing people? #organizationalculture #process #leadership #brokenprocesses

I booked myself onto a SW members visit to someone else's woodland in another county for this Saturday.@Sarah111well nope, I'd be chasing by now, one week before is a reasonable expectation for details, I'd assume now something has gone awry, and given whoever can fix this might be part time I'd be getting in contact today as tomorrow might be too late.
