afaik: In den USA gibt es das sogenannte "Third-Party Doctrine".
Das Gesetz bewirkt, dass wenn wir Daten freiwillig einem Dritten (Netflix, Spotify, Disney, Google, Microsoft, Paypal, Samsung, Apple, etc) geben, haben wir keinen "angemessenen Anspruch auf Privatsphäre" mehr gegenüber dem (US) Staat. Deshalb braucht die (US) Regierung für diese Daten oft keinen richterlichen Beschluss - die gehen einfach zu der Firma hin und nehmen sich was sie haben wollen.

Put simply, it states that if you voluntarily give your data to a third party (Google, apple, MS, Disney, Netflix, bank, phone company or any else), you no longer have a "reasonable right to privacy" from the state. Therefore, the government often doesn't need a court order for this data.
