@privacyguides I'm not really sure how to read this argument. We need to work together, yes. And need to be willing to form coalitions with people whom we do not agree with on everything.
But don't ask me to work with people who do not share my core values. If the disagreement is over, for instance, whether fascism is ok. Or, whether AI is acceptable to use sometimes, this is a un-bridgeable disagreement.

Just because the racist piece of shit known as DHH said it, doesn't mean you have to quote it verbatim.
This is stupid question, and the fact that the open source principle basically demands that this question be posed in a neutral way, exposes the fact that the FOSS movement cannot, and specifically refuses to, protect us from fascism.
We need to take what we've learned from open source, and build something new. Something that will, as a matter of bedrock principle, stand up for human rights.
Linux distros should be either refusing to comply, or forbidding people through its license, in jurisdictions like CA that require age verification, to not use their software. It really is that simple.

Ask not whether the invasion of Iran was lawful. Ask when the fuck we are going to remove MAGA from power.

Once we push MAGA out of power, we are going to need a serious political reconstruction project, the likes of which the US has never seen before.
It should include:
1. Throw Trump in prison for life
2. Close all US concentration camps, including Gitmo
3. Abolish DHS
4. Hold Nuremberg-style trials
5. Seize the assets of ICE members and MAGA leaders
6. Use the seized assets to pay restitution to people harmed, in the US and abroad, by the regime
7. Lifetime ban on civil service jobs or holding public office, for all regime officials
8. Ban the Republican Party from running candidates in future elections
(It would include many, many other things too, which must address as many of the fundamental political, economic, and social issues that led us here as possible)
What's happening in these blue states could be the beginning of a plan to do such a reconstruction. We should plan it out in detail, and give people an idea of what's possible WHEN we destroy MAGA's power forever.
