Well, that's not a very nice thing to say! In my case, I have to collaborate with other people via comments and I want to make sure that everything is working as it should.

Definitely not a fan of the whole "sticky notes in pdf" workflow however

And yeah, 700 MiB for a "reader" is utter nonsense. And it's not even a crappy Electron app, in which case at least emulation would not be needed.

Just downloaded the 700MiB #AdobeAcrobat installer, gonna try to run it with #wine11 via #bottles63, wish me luck.

@aleph_omega_plus_four@mastodon.world As much as TeX was a giant leap forward at the time, to me it is kind of outdated now. It is considered very stable by its developers and we should not expect any significant shift in functionality any time soon. Typst is not mature yet, but very usable. It feels like a modern programming languages and has an interesting package ecosystem. The main drawback is that it is not supported by the vast majority of publishers. I whish I could use it more!
