@jwildeboer I was today years old when I learnt about works councils and co-determination. Danke schön. The Wikipedia list of OECD countries that have some form of co-determination highlights the difference between anglophone countries and others (although the UK has a few examples in education and health).

Fun facts about Works Council elections in Germany. -
Maybe I follow too many people.Maybe I follow too many people. I have a repeated experience of clicking on the profile of someone I follow and discovering lots of interesting posts that I have never seen before. If I reduce the number of people I follow, maybe I would see more of these interesting posts in my feed.

drama!@gobsmacked @benroyce I agree that authoritarianism and political violence should not be covered up. But I’m not convinced that there’s a dichotomy between denying or covering up fascist acts and broadcasting fascist acts to everyone. Does every person need to know the details of fascist acts? I would like to allow people to be able to opt out of reading or viewing material that they personally deem to be distressing, as much as possible and acknowledging that it might not be possible for an individual to avoid seeing every thing that is distressing to them.
Personally I think hashtags and filters work better for this purpose, as the receiver can opt out reasonably easily, but I think that the Fediverse has settled in content warnings as a default method.
