@heidilifeldman I'm still trying to figure out why some held such high opinions of the SCOTUS. My training over the past 20 years revolved around reasoning and I just can't find coherent reasoning behind these SCOTUS opinions.

@bjc @futurebird bigotry tends to be more complex in a more complex place and NYC is by far the most overrated city in the US (LA can compete, but it's not a real city).

Coming from Europe, I had this idea of rural = clean air, fresh food, pleasant people. I was shocked to see the opposite when I moved to rural midwest. W/ my heritage, I'm used to being the only POC in the room but there, it really made me uneasy. If you interact with fewer ppl, one bigot has a bigger impact on your day.

@cyberlyra this is f'd up in so many ways, it would take a dissertation to dissect it. we've so far been resisting to send our kids to the school where my uni's faculty's go to for these reasons.

@cyberlyra It's a great post and I share your perceptions about in the US people tending to constantly posture about everything always. But, I can't get over having 7-year-olds on investment apps? W-T-F.
