It's a very small world, especially in some fields of research.

@philbetts I never used the algorithmic feed on any of the platforms I'm on (now I'm mostly here and on BlueSky). I just very slowly locate by topic and curate interesting people to follow.

I'm still struggling to find my footing here on Mastodon. A bit with the platforms and tags, but mostly finding people to follow. I'm a bit all over the place, posting about my #writing, be it academic or fiction (mostly #SciFi), and about cool #Science I ran into, and the more common than it should be - complain about stuff.
I'm interested in #SFF, #publishing, #MiniaturePainting, science, #queer culture, academia, human sexuality, geekish humor, #comics & #EarthSci.

An annoying reality of having a creative mind that won't ease off, is that as you're trying to write (or worse, edit), there are always new ideas for a scene, or a new story, or a new book... or something, trying to pull you to play with them.
