Has the progress of humanity (less disease, poverty, war, etc.) all been because of the tiny minority of people who actually try to make the world better? What would happen if even half of people actually tried? (2/2)

I’ve seen a lot of articles and posts about AI that use the term “like it or not” as in “like it or not, AI is here, and we might as well get used to it” and that is such bullshit.@rasterweb I’ve been thinking about this a lot the past few days, that people accept things because they think they’re powerless as an individual against a big corporation or government. It’s crazy to me how the internet made it easier for people to network, but it’s rarely used to unite people to push to make the world better, even for things that the vast majority agree should happen. Instead, it’s used for memes and harassment. (1/2)
