@itsfoss not really. Android is like 70% of the mobile OS market. while the claims of new users since Windows 10 reached end of life is cool its not the approximately 20 million units of chromebooks sold per year.

Thomas Watson once said computers would never catch on. I was for sure AI would be a flop until Elon Musk had me watching out of the window for terminators, And now I bet we’re only a few years away from AI bot patrolled streets in the US

I will definitely be registering in the next election im just saying i honestly don’t believe they make a difference. but i also have refused my whole life to pay attention to politics and dont side with any party. but its difficult for me to believe that any information i get at my level can be trusted nor do i trust anything we’re told you vote for any idea but you get a person

@mlanger @nixCraft depressingly lol I cant get myself to hold any illusions that there’s anything that can actually be done. voting is a farce. our world leaders handle things on Twitter/X these days lol its all really bad reality TV we happen to be a part of. Enjoy what you can in the moment and don’t waste valuable time and effort on pointless pursuits we’re on the precipice of a dramatic shift

@mlanger @nixCraft yeah… i said that then this morning watched the news and i swear sometimes i can’t tell if im watching a sci-fi movie, an episode of the boys or if its real. every time i see our president speak i expect to see homelander standing behind him. ive got 7 kids the oldest is 19 the youngest is 4 weeks old and im terrified by what i can see coming.

@nixCraft anyone who hasn’t known that meta is garbage is blind. they’ve been garbage since the moment they put their algorithm into action. it feels strange bashing social media on a form of social media but this is different. facebook isn’t “social media”. it’s click-bait and marketing, a forum is “social media” people interacting about common problems or interests. this crap we’re pushed today is distraction and misdirection and im going to shut up because it starts sounding nuts
