@Anne_Montano_Art I find the opacity of the smude tool gets good results for blending without smearing the image too much. It's like refining the pressure without relying on the physical weight of the pen and your hand pressure. (I just really hate pressure sensitivity of graphics pens entirely and rather it just be consistant. So, that's not for everyone.)

I've been trying to figure out both Linux and Krita at the same time this week.@Anne_Montano_Art Technique I use for smudging is my finger, and rubbing gently. And to create light streaks, I use an eraser. Careful though--the eraser will get a lot of lead on it and it'll begin smuding if you don't get the lead off. Just run it accross rough material to rub off the lead. Rough like a carpet. Shh, I won't tell anyone you dirtied the carpet if you don't tell anyone I did
