CIRCLE WITH A DOT

I made another illusion in the same vein, of the spine drift type. I tried a few different methods to construct it, starting with triangles that I cut away with shapes, then just using a triangle that can morph using a Bezier vertex. I was able to figure it out using the tool I made a couple of years ago. https://openprocessing.org/sketch/2181419The illusion is pretty intense and I got a headache from working on it (again), but it's fun to play with for a short time at least.

Artist introduction post:I have been doing traditional arts and crafts and playing music since I was very young. Mostly drawing, origami, wood and stone sculpture, and playing tuba with concert bands up until college, when I started doing code-based art with POV-Ray, digital photography, and playing clarinet then recorder. Since 2020 I have focused more on making procedural art with p5.js and Blender/python and electronic music using the Deluge groovebox, other hardware synths, and KeyStep.

I'm a sucker for interesting bubble textures in ice. I was bummed I didn't get any of the epic formations out on the lake this season, but these from a marsh last week were pretty neat. I increased the contrast quite a bit to bring the textures out.#TextureTuesday #MonochromeMarch (zine=ok)
