@MediaActivist Still think - somehow - society needs to abandon corporate social media platforms. Cory Doctorow has told us how to make this less inconvenient/painful but somehow politicians have to be motivated. But, to your comment, that those algorithms are an enticement to those seeking public notice? Never thought of it that way. So really they are less motivated to engage on an even field. Maybe we should be boosting those who have joined Mastodon? Maybe the reward they all seek?
