Just saw where someone said they went "across #Canada" from "Atlantic to Pacific".@lastrobot
One of my summer jobs was working at a tourist info stop on Hwy 17 at the Keewatin Bridge just a little west of Kenora, ON. Many many people traveling east from MB would state that they were headed to Toronto and expected to get there by the afteroon/evening... easily a 2-day drive from Kenora on a 2-lane 'highway'. -
This is absolutely wild: The #Zambia government has just cancelled the world's most important digital rights conference #RightsCon 2026 which was supposed to start next week in #Lusaka.@ilumium I think the saddest part in all of this is that Trump has refused to subsidized AIDS meds for Zambia UNLESS the county gives the USA total access to Zambia's minerals.... so I get that a very special global digital community loses... but, fuck, BLACKMAIL??
Trump admin threatens to withhold HIV medication to Zambia unless demands are met
Zambia has received more than $6 billion in HIV/AIDS over the last two decades, according to the US Embassy in Zambia

as a Monty Python fan, seeing the book casually in the background of one of their episodes got me to read the Naked Ape; but it was his documentaries for the BBC, The Human Animal and babytalk that really homed in for me his zoology of humans.@blogdiva
I think I scored an 90% in High School (1970s) Biology for a book report on The Naked Ape...opened some brain channels, for sure... -
Sounds like the #UCP...smells, feels, etc...must be the UCP!@satchmo35 #abpoli #WaterNotCoal
Way easier to bless the Coal mine destruction of our headwaters with no opposition, or science, right?
