@iFixit@mastodon.social I fixed my girlfriend's laptop thingy (a Microsoft Surface where the SSD died right after warranty was over). It was one of the hardest repairs and part of the touchscreen feature got broken in the process, but the device still lives on.
My next repair project is a mechanical pocket watch.

Companies should be required by law to completely open devices when they end support for them@thomasfuchs@hachyderm.io don't buy stuff that's locked into an ecosystem. there are great ebook readers that aren't kindles. you can for example modify the ones from Kobo to sync with a calibre-web server by editing a freely acessible config file (or just put your epubs on it directly, which is almost a bit too trivial).

Vorsicht: Union, Polizeigewerkschaften und Verkehrsverbände verbreiten Falschinformationen zu einer möglichen Entkriminalisierung von Fahren ohne Ticket!@freiheitsfonds@mas.to ich bin nicht nur für eine sogenannte "entkriminalisierung" (OWis sind immernoch scheiße teuer), ich bin nicht nur für eine "legalisierung", ich bin vielmehr dafür dass der sogenannte öffentliche Personennahverkehr öffentlich und damit für alle frei zugänglich unabhängig vom Einkommen gemacht wird - wenn es erst gar keine Tickets gibt, kann auch niemensch für das Nicht-Haben eines Tickets belangt werden.
