Something from the depths of the build script accuses me of using 10 year old version of cmake (I'm not). Why cmake? Well, there's this program in python, it needs you to specify the timezone. And doing it in python would be too slow. Maybe python is too slow... Or maybe looking up the timezone from the coordinates user needs to specify at the command line during setup is not the best approach?
Anyway, Authors did their best and the program works after some more black magic.
Trying to remember if I had such problems installing stuff written in #rustlang. Probably not...
Link in your post also had tracking - but that's something that existing plugins can remove. Still... If you promote privacy - do it all the way.
