  • If you were to guess, which of these components is installed in most devices world-wide?
    malwareminigun@infosec.exchangeM malwareminigun@infosec.exchange

    @bagder

    I voted libz due to the dependencies in vcpkg:

    curl depends on zlib . It also depends on openssl for most configurations that people actually use
    sqlite3 depends on zlib as an option

    I *thought* OpenSSL depended on zlib as well when I answered but it looks like I was mistaken

    @wdormann I agree that this example sucks but I also argue that most UNIX/GNU-ish things go way way too far in the other direction and sacrifice a lot of clarity to save a keystroke or two. (And very few shell things work correctly whenever paths contain a space)

    @rail_ How "total"? Did you add up phase to ground or phase to phase values?

    malwareminigun@infosec.exchangeM malwareminigun@infosec.exchange

    @ra6bit @ariadne @joshbressers @gregkh @wdormann @Viss @andrewnez @Di4na And then we could have spectacular arguments about what to assign those vulnerabilities where finders argue for maxing out everything even when the vuln is unreachable in practice.
