@2003MugishaPhocit @yngmar Those small black insects are flea beetles, and they love eggplants. I don’t have many plants, so I get rid of them by rubbing them off with my thumb and finger daily. You have to kind of sneak up on them because they jump. But the holes in the photo are way too large for flea beetles, so you probably have another herbivore on the plants. Look under the leaves.
