@lina I think “porting the discord experience” is exactly the issue here. People have suggested matrix to me as an alternative multiple times. The issue is that I don’t think my “non technical” friends and community would enjoy it as much. It’s too complicated for them - and too different. I’m currently checking Stoat since it seems almost like a clone, I’m just a bit worried about how scalable it actually is.

Mal etwas aus der #Gaming-Ecke.@KeSeDon schau dir definitiv Lutris an. Ist wunderbar für Spiele ohne offiziellen Linux-Support. Und für viele Games läuft es super. Für manche Fälle klappt Steam etwas besser (wie z.B. Wuthering Waves) aber das ist ehr das Problem von manchen Launchern. Beides ist spielbar, aber in dem Fall ist es leichter über steam (und im Endeffekt irrelevant da F2P und nicht gebunden an die Platform)
Steam hat seine Probleme, aber Valve ist auch ein großer Grund, wieso der Linux Support für manche Spiele immer besser wird. Das Steam Deck scheint einige Hersteller doch zu motivieren, nicht nur auf Windows rumzugurken.
