Does anyone know of a lively and wellbalanced #Friendica instance?@veroandi yes, I think the main thing if you talk regular people, moms & pops, into trying the fediverse, is that its a good user experience and not buggy or too complex, which I sort of feel friendica is in a mobile view port. So it'll have to be Mastodon for now.
Pixelfed would have been a nice recommendation too, but there are unresolved bugs in the android app since I got it in June '25, and governance of the project is completely unclear to me. It's not sustainable if its a one man band.

Does anyone know of a lively and wellbalanced #Friendica instance? This is probably not least thanks to being managed through a foundation and Mastodon GmbH. Friendica, pixelfed and the others would really benefit from a similar setup.

Does anyone know of a lively and wellbalanced #Friendica instance?I found loma.ml, which seems very nice. Thanks for allowing me in. It's nice to see a well working instance.
But I wonder if Friendica isn't too immature after all. It seems to be a desktop first app, so not great for people mostly using mobile. Maybe a local Mastodon instance is a better entry point for people who aren't into tech and just want to keep in touch with friends and relatives. Who've only ever been on Meta. Mastodon and the mobile ecosystem around it is has a good maturity level.

Does anyone know of a lively and wellbalanced #Friendica instance?@thomas THX. anonsys was unresponsive, timed out. Loma looks fairly nice (by fedi standards
). Login modal appears out of mobile view port. Approval by admin pending. -
Does anyone know of a lively and wellbalanced #Friendica instance?@MichelPatrice I tried friendica.world and it wasn't a good experience. It was more or less only me, 404 messages, time outs and federated (non friendica) posts for content.

Does anyone know of a lively and wellbalanced #Friendica instance?@Prometheus maybe someone who knows a good "happy" instance will spot this thread and let me be a visiting member for a while, to experience the dynamics.
-
Does anyone know of a lively and wellbalanced #Friendica instance?@Prometheus sure, but you'd want to be able to assess what it's like before you talk people into trying it.
Its no use wasting their enthusiasm on something that works poorly and leaving them disappointed when they maybe in turn convince friends and relatives to come along and try it out.

Does anyone know of a lively and wellbalanced #Friendica instance?@MichelPatrice I'd like to try a well hosted instance with active users and a friendly community and then decide if it would be good fit to set up for "normies" in my area and maybe for Sweden in general, who want to leave big tech, but never got it what it is one actually does with a microblog. The Friendica format could potentially fit quite a lot of people better. But I've never seen an alive and thriving instance...

Does anyone know of a lively and wellbalanced #Friendica instance?I think friendica would be a good way to get regular people onto the Fediverse who are motivated by Di-day or "danmark skifter" type initiatives, but who are not the microblogging type of person. But I've yet never been able to "kick the tyres" of a Friendica instance that's alive, healthy and thriving.

Does anyone know of a lively and wellbalanced #Friendica instance?Does anyone know of a lively and wellbalanced #Friendica instance? If you'd like to show and explain it to regular people?
I never managed to join a good instance. There are none for Sweden that I know of.
I joined friendica world, but that's completely dead and has a warning message since this summer ('25) when I first visited it.
Are there "key in hand" hosting solutions like Mastohost?
