@kineia3 imo lower prices might not be helping since people don't generally buy art because it's cheap. also if you price too low then people who don't know how to assess art quality might see it as an indicator of low quality. some people do have budget limitations but in that situation it's better to have options that take less hours rather than lowering your hourly rate (e.g. offer a headshot instead of a fullbody rather than reducing what you make per hour on a fullbody)

(pic for boost, asking for pricing advice + small vent)@kineia3 at your skill level, i think you can justify a higher rate. the way i raise prices is by about $2 or so every few comms until i get to the price i'm looking for to avoid scaring away customers with sudden price jumps. but i noticed my comms went to 0 after i stopped posting bc of my fulltime job, so it may be a reach issue or it may be larger-scale issues (people spend less at the beginning of a new year due to the holidays)
