I've been on mastodon for a few months now and at first I was disappointed about how the platform lacked features that other social media had.I've been on mastodon for a few months now and at first I was disappointed about how the platform lacked features that other social media had. It doesn't have the widespread adoption that facebook and instagram have. Its shortform media isn't as attention grabbing.
Now, I'm beginning to understand that this is the point of mastodon. Engagement on mastodon has different rules. It's a bit more effortful. It is actually the greatest aspect of mastodon I think.
