Maybe we should establish a "maintenance.md" practice just like "readme.md" or "LICENSE" where you just clearly outline the amount of maintenance the project/development team are planning to put into the code base and under which conditions.@tante I think this is the baseline unless anything else is explicitly stated.
(The reverse timeline algorithm led me to this only after the previous post.)

UK PEOPLE: this is REALLY IMPORTANT.@etchedpixels @cstross A lot of the recent legislative moves in the UK & EU both are rather highly incompatible with the use of "unlocked" Open Source systems.
But a bootloader-locked Android could easily enforce this rule.
I'm wondering at which time running a FLOSS Operating System on your devices will require a license/permit.
