He was a philosopher, an author, a movie star, a teacher, a hell of a dancer (ballroom and cha-cha-cha), and a stylish fashionista. Additionally, he was eloquent, well spoken and read, gave great interviews, and loved his family.

@fabio Problem is though is that @postmarketOS, while a great project and one I will always advocate for, is hardly ready for primetime on a vast number of devices.

Seriously, look at all the devices listed under "testing" and "downstream" and see how many of them hardly support all the features or even have working flashing functionality.

Plus, it doesn't have an intuitive way of installation for a good number of end users.

I do hope this changes so it becomes a viable alternative.

I did discover Gopher and Usenet about a year or so later.

All of us, as artists, hackers, musicians, writers, creative types, etc., need to take a hard stance. We need to resist this onslaught of AI slop creeping into everything.

If I write an article for anywhere, it will be with my stream of conscious and my own two hands and my voice.

If I make a video, same thing.

If I make art, I don't care that I can't draw very well. I'll make the effort.

Photography? You know the spiel.

Basically... make. Creativity. Human.

Here's my stance on AI anything in any project I lead or work on:

NO.

Simple as that.

No AI written code will be allowed in Pirate Box.

Human written code or GTFO. I don't fucking care if you call me a grumpy old hacker.

You're a human. Learn how to write code. I'd rather have sloppy, messy code written by human hands, than sloppy, AI generated code. The human written code has SOUL.
