@GossiTheDog An executive was fired for sexual harassment? Is there any info on what sexual harassment she allegedly committed, and what happened to believing victims of sexual harassment?
The articles say she wasn't the only person to raise concerns about dating chat bots, was anyone else fired?
Something about this stinks, beyond the "AI bad" and "woman can't commit sexual offences" slathered all over this comment section
@BoysenberryCider @dw_innovation I know mastadon has a heavy anti-AI bias, but if you think you're the majority why is the 5th most visited website on the internet chatgpt? Seems like the AI bandwagon is still bigger, despite social media echo chambers
@Whimsy @dw_innovation If I'm trusting the lock picking lawyer with the spare keys to my house for safe keeping, I'm not going to panic when he gets another new lock picking tool.
But if I'm anti-lock pick I'll be unhappy at him getting a new tool regardless of actual risk.
@Whimsy @dw_innovation Correct. If you're using a hostile OS it's already to late. It's like complaining about MS implementing AI in OneDrive, it doesn't make files less secure because the backdoor is already wide open. If signal can send notifications through Androids system manager then Google/government/etc have already seen your messages. I'm sure windows is no better.
@dw_innovation Disappointing to see Signal jump on the anti-AI bandwagon. Given vulnerabilities seen in android notifications, windows, and nearly every OS the client can run in I don't see how AI changes this at all
