@luka Hmm, it does add something new to the result each time, but it doesn't quite touch the original, does it?

So, an image can be deep-fried by using extreme jpeg compression (and maybe some automatic 'enhancements')@Primavera Hmm, bit rot how? Oh, you mean adding noise to a jpeg encoding table so it decodes worng or something?

So, an image can be deep-fried by using extreme jpeg compression (and maybe some automatic 'enhancements')@helle Oh, that's an interesting way to do it. Wouldn't work on still images, but cool.

So, an image can be deep-fried by using extreme jpeg compression (and maybe some automatic 'enhancements')@MiaWinter Yeah, I was thinking it should a) mess with the colors in a funky way, b) add something that wasn't there before, like texture. I'd hope to avoid ai poop, but some of those 'enhancements' that have been going around lately would certainly be fermented.

Are Western Digital drives trustworthy these days.@mcc Considering capitalism, probably not necessarily. That's why I said 'not sure if relevant'. If it came to picking WD or another brand though, I'd pick WD based on my own experience, is what I meant to convey.

Are Western Digital drives trustworthy these days.@mcc Not sure if relevant to an external hdd you'd buy in 2026, but I have had an internal 5TB WD drive running 24/7 for uh, I think it's been 16 years now. So yeah, decent quality there.
