I can't argue that trees are not messy-- I have to wonder how my birches are still standing after all the downed sticks I picked up this spring. One of the three little pigs thanked me for collecting them before he took them.

They will plant 10' tall native shade trees in your yard, business, place of worship, etc. for free. My house only had room for 3 when I learned of the program. My HOA received 58 trees on community property. One neighbor was given 8. treemontgomery.org

I had to change how I garden as with climate change my original plantings did not work as well anymore.My HOA has many antiquated rules about property maintenance. No clothes lines allowed. No compost piles allowed. Lawns must be 4 inches or LESS. Happily, they don't say anything about trees, so my 1/3 acre now has 27 trees. The shade is killing the lawn, which when dead, says below 4 inches-- a happy side-effect. A few are ornamentals, but the rest are native shade trees.

Ok you guys I just found out about a thing called the Eurobox and now I'm really upset that we don't have them over here in North America.They strongly resemble the collapsible crates sold by the Container Store chain. No membership required. I have 3 or 4. I keep one in the trunk of my car.

Mastodon, you are a influence...Last summer I had a blast riding up and down the Chicago lakeshore on an ebike with my daughter and her girlfriend. If you are serious about biking, you might truly extend your weather-range with an ebike. I bike to work in nice weather, but it's only half a mile each way for me, so I can't boast about it.

This, to me, is exactly why we're stuck having this conversation again and again. Even if ID laws are repealed or rejected, for that to happen we still have to be the ones forced to explain why the bans are bad. Remember the Clipper Chip? It's so tiring.
