Last night’s return trip from Vancouver B.C., was better than going there. The Amtrak train even left the station 15 minutes too early (how can they do that?!!). The weather was nice and had some good views on the ride home.
It surprised me that most of the route was along the coastline. In these days of high speed trains, I think Amtrak is still 100 (or more) years away from modern train traveling. It’s a nice alternative for a car, but take your time and don’t be in a hurry when traveling with Amtrak. It really still is in the early 1900s… However, it was nice to use public transportation to go up and down to Vancouver B.C. in one day.

Gosh dang I hope this passes 😬 I love Tacoma so much and our streets are SO BAD still, even after some significant recent investments.@Sadsquatch not only the roads itself, but then maybe even reflecting lines so you can see where you’re going in the dark and when it is raining and not thinking “let’s follow the other car and hope that one doesn’t deibe into a canal or pond. Streetlights and maybe sidewalks or bicycle safe lanes…
