@theleftistlawyer I've been happy and impressed that when the #UCBerkeley Academic Personnel Office has had meetings for AP analysts, introductions have routinely included pronouns along with name and department.

@scm @ai6yr @johntimaeus @rsanders @plutarch @hutterer @bammerlaan @ascentale My wife has played piano for a Taizé prayer service at a UCC church in Oakland a couple of times and there was a cellist at both who rode his bike there! Actually it was most impressive for his climbing the very steep hill to get there. My instrument is tinwhistle and I highly recommend it for portability.

@ai6yr I had thought it was a purely mechanical collision, like car vs. ped, but I now see: "ABC News reported that the person struck was 'at least partially consumed' by one of the craft's engines, leading to a brief fire." (https://www.npr.org/2026/05/09/g-s1-121305/frontier-airlines-plane-strikes-and-kills-pedestrian). Yikes!!!

@ai6yr I don't understand: Was the engine fire related to the pedestrian strike? And were the aircraft passenger injuries from a sudden stop or from the use of the emergency slides?

@yourautisticlife @sinituulia Likewise! If I let myself nap as long as I want I come out of it groggy, but I set a timer for 35 minutes (5 to go to sleep and 30 for the nap proper) and that works best for me. I don't sleep particularly well at night but I *do* start off quickly.
