Sometimes (often!) the simplest solution is the best. I woke this morning with a simple, and it turns out, effective solution to the Belt Clock tensioning issue. A simple pivoting lever arm with a small weight at the end solved the problem. It was so effective I did the same for the Hour wheel. There I didn't even need a weight, since only a single belt needs to kept under mild tension.Alignment on all the parts is critical. I experimented with various spacers on the Intermediate wheel until the belts tracked cleanly. Now for the bigger challenge - making the sensor/impulse coil and pendulum with magnet in the bottom of the bob. I'm borrowing that idea (along with the Walking Escapement) from Clayton Boyer.
