The time is probably right.@stefano With iOS apps I've often seen the model where the app is open source, but offered as a payed app on the App Store, exactly to cover those Apple Developer expenses.
And then sure, people could build the app themselves and use it, but then they either have to deal with things like AltStore to re-sign it or have a developer account themselves, so it's easier to just get it as offered.
I think that would a good model that would fit the overall spirit of things and it would definitely be a first in comparison to the other iOS fediverse clients. Maybe there could be some contributions to it, etc.
Anyways, I'd be interested in testing it ^^
