@ner Web with a framework. I had it online, www.bestmidi.com/kk but I think it works better as a local app using your local database, so now doing it as an Electron app. Bloated but I think it works for this use case.

What's the best, very easy to use with presets or just a couple of settings, free VST for Reaper that I can use to just do a simple smooth out a live recording from the back of a theater without muddying things up a lot? Audio is pretty clear, just quieter than the crowd? Just ReaComp, or something else?
