@krinslife 100% agree; I do tag when I remember (and thank goodness that most mastodon clients hide bottom-tags, so you can do it "guilt-free!") and I try to follow good people and boost healthy posts and (..mostly...) make healthy posts... Being the change I want to see etc. in this more human-powered social network

You know what I miss?@krinslife Heh, I have a dream for the Fediverse, where hashtags work a bit like microcommunities (explicitly, not accidentally) precisely to solve this idea of "I want the version of ipsquiggle that makes games to be visible through this hashtag, for your following pleasure". I try and remember to tag my posts, but it doesn't actually offer the right affordance for me to reliably remember, nor for someone else to selectively engage it. Ah well..

You know what I miss?@krinslife I don't know of any hashtags that would generally do this, but I will say that the quality of the people you follow matters a lot more here.
I've found that following creators means they're likely to boost stuff from other creators, so that's one thing...
Also the opposite side of the algorithm is filtering, and so it's extra important to unfollow or mute people who don't add value to your timeline.
You've got me curious though, surely someone has made such a hashtag...
