I hired an old trusted friend to do some research we needed.I didn’t just need a document. I was trying to build a partnership with this person. I can’t do what I’m trying to do alone and I needed someone to share a certain space with me, listen to my thoughts, call me on my bullshit, offer alternatives: be a trusted confidant. I already struggle with trust issues. The last thing I need is some sycophantic psy op out of Silicon Valley licking my ass.

Looking at the document he just sent us. And it’s obviously written by an LLM: fabrications, conflations, contradictions.
Trust broken.
So angry. Not even mainly at the friend, but at how #ai is corroding our thought, targeting our greatest weaknesses.
